WHY DRINK WATER KEFIR?
Water kefir is easy-drinking, convenient and vegan-friendly way to incorporate probiotics into your life. Major health benefits attributed to probiotics include balancing gut microflora, improving immune system function, reducing cholesterol and blood pressure, treating irritable bowel conditions, alleviating lactose intolerance, and helping prevent certain cancers (1). Water kefir also contains “kefiran” – a polysaccharide unique to kefir that exhibits antioxidant, antimicrobial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties (2).
WHAT MAKES LAB DIFFERENT?
Our water kefir is double fermented, resulting in a final product is low in sugar and calories. The water kefir culture consumes approximately 50-80% of the initial cane sugar and fruit juice, metabolizing them into secondary sugars, lactic acid and carbon dioxide – creating a slightly sweet and naturally carbonated beverage.
